WHAT MAKES A PERSONALITY GREAT?


1. Relevant Knowledge: Every person, whether a student or a professional is expected to know the details of present occupation. It not only shows seriousness but also willingness to understand role and responsibilities. Students must know their subjects well. In today’s world it will be very wise to also understand the implication of those subjects and how they could impact the world. Any working person must have detailed knowledge about his/her profession. Subject awareness leading to a mature perspective is appreciated as well as rewarded.

2. Communicating knowledge: One may know a lot but the ability to convey one’s knowledge is extremely important. In the present world order, time is precious and therefore the number of chances that one gets is limited. It is of utmost importance that the speed of thoughts travelling from brain to tongue increases and maximum impact is created in a short span of time.

Besides speed, the quality of communication also plays an important role in determining one’s personality. The pronunciation, choice of words and the manner of speech sometimes leaves a lasting impression. Moreover, better communication makes a person stand out from the crowd and makeshim suitable for many unique opportunities.

3. Confidence: Confidence in one’s ability is required at every stage of life. Confidence comes from competence, practice and removing weaknesses. Hesitation, shyness and insecurity need to be eliminated at the earliest. A person brimming with confidence will be seen as a good teammate, a multi role performer and a versatile asset to any organization. Increasing our own strengths and minimizing weaknesses will lead to gradual build-up of confidence for lifetime.

4. National & International awareness: Technology has enabled every person to find out what is happening globally. The boundaries of yester-years do not exist anymore. We have the power to read, watch, analyse and form opinions based on facts. Therefore, a good personality is one which is informed, aware and can communicate with the help of facts and data and not just hearsay. Moreover, under right guidance, one can initiate communication with people & organizations across the globe thereby increasing exposure, reach and network.

5. Leading Initiatives: The world today faces many problems. If the youth comes forward and takes up a small part of a small problem, the cumulative impact will be very large. Hence, any small initiative for good of society is very valuable in building up a good personality. Everyone must have additional aims and must be able to demonstrate leadership qualities while chasing those goals.

Personality should not be our drawback, it must be our strength. We must learn, practice and follow correct guidance to shape our personality and then find success in our chosen endeavors. The success then is not temporary but for a lifetime.

The decisions that impact a child's life are taken mostly by parents. While it is true that impulsive nature has its merit but a careful analysis of self, family and the child is very necessary in case we want to bring out the best in the child.
