TOUGH - SCIENCE / ARTS
A common topic of discussion among children and even among their parents is the identification of a stream which could be easy to study and be rewarding at the same time. Shortcomings in a student makes him choose something which appears to be easier yet which doesn't snatch all the possible options.
Lets understand the difficulty level and the requirements first. Each of the subject that you will study as student has introductory work, preparatory work and extensive reading and thinking is required. There is no subject in academics in which can be excelled in without any effort. The knowledge will never flow towards the brain. So, to do well, one needs to put in all of the above work and then only a certain degree of confidence starts coming in an individual. Therefore History is equally tough as Physics and Geography is as easy as Chemistry.
There are some minds who have heard from many years that a particular subject is easy but another is full of difficulties. As far as facts to remember are concerned, they might be almost same when we compare any two subjects. However, when there is mathematical application, Science may start looking tough. But, the fault does not lie in the teacher or the subject. While growing up, the parents did not understand where the child is going wrong and consistently there was a degradation of ability. Mathematics became a thing to run away from and now the child faces problems in three subjects instead of one. Therefore the child will say that Science is tough, Arts is easy.
Arts subjects need a lot of reading, storing data in brain and there is a need to link information pieces nicely to get a better understanding of things around us. Iti not easy if one wants to be good but if the student wants to be average, it may look easy.
Hence, difficult or easy is a state of mind. The way a mind is shaped, has an impact on the individual and the next generation also. After reading this every parent must answer this question - Where is my child going? What should I do?
Stay tuned and stay connected.
Bye!
